The specialist coordinates care between opioid treatment clients and community partners to support recovery journeys. Responsibilities include managing community resources, documenting client encounters, and advocating for patients in various clinical and community settings.
A Peer Recovery Support Certification is required, along with a valid driver's license and a satisfactory driving record. Experience in substance abuse rehabilitation and bilingual skills are preferred.
Monday - Friday 8AM-4PM flexibility needed, will work out of CMS clinic and a hospital setting
Community Medical Services (CMS) is hiring a Community Impact Specialist to assist patients recovering from addictions to opioids and other illicit substances. Every day you will use your experience in substance abuse rehabilitation and opioid treatment programs to foster relationships with community partners, including community coalitions, health homes, sister agencies, specialty providers, local hospitals, clinics, law enforcement, and fire and EMT services.
An integral point of contact for the coordination of care between opioid treatment program clients and community agencies, your work as a community relations specialist will support CMS clinic staff in providing a safe place for anyone looking to start their recovery journey with us.

Experience in substance abuse rehabilitation and/or opioid treatment programs (preferred) Bilingual (preferred) Ability to travel within the region, including to all CMS locations as needed Culturally competent and sensitive to individualized client treatment needs Valid Driver License and Motor Vehicle Clearance (satisfactory driving record for 39 months) Peer Recovery Support Cert Required #CLSTF
