The surgical assistant provides technical support to surgeons during procedures, including exposure, hemostasis, and closure. They also perform preoperative and postoperative assessments to ensure safe and effective patient care.
Candidates must hold relevant professional certifications and degrees, such as a Surgical Assistant program completion, PA Master's degree, or RNFA certification. Strong clinical experience in perioperative settings and proficiency in medical informatics are required.
