The Dual Recovery Specialist provides individual and group counseling, crisis intervention, and linkage to outside agencies for clients in a residential setting. They also assist with medication monitoring, skill-building, and symptom management to support recovery and quality of life.
Candidates must hold a CASAC certification or a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services along with three years of experience working with dual-diagnosed populations. A clean, valid NY State Driver’s License and the ability to pass a criminal record check and fingerprinting are required.
RiseWell Community Services is seeking a Full-Time Dual Recovery Specialist providing services to clients residing in a licensed residential program in Brentwood.
RiseWell’s Residential Services provide those in recovery from serious mental illness a safe, reliable home with on-site support. Our Residential team assists participants with an array of services aimed at supporting their recovery and improving their quality of life. Services include medication monitoring, skill-building development, symptom management, socialization, transportation training, connections to psychiatric and medical services, and more.
In this role, you will provide individual and group counseling, crisis intervention, linkage to outside agencies for people residing in a licensed residential program.
CASAC or Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services and three years’ experience working with the dual-diagnosed population. Knowledge of residential services, substance abuse, medical diagnoses and evidence based practices. Clean, valid NY State Driver’s License. Fingerprinting, criminal record check, approval from NYS Office of Mental Health.
