The Physical Therapist will evaluate patients to assess their rehabilitation potential and develop treatment plans tailored to their needs. They will also communicate progress with physicians and mentor team members to maintain departmental standards.
Candidates must provide skilled physical therapy in compliance with New York State Department of Health and Federal regulations. Physical requirements include the ability to exert varying amounts of force and frequent walking, standing, or squatting.
SUMMARY As a Physical Therapist, you welcome patients and put them at ease. You provide PT to patients with care and compassion to ensure rehabilitation success. Each of the hospitals of Rochester Regional Health provides a full range of diagnostic, treatment, and educational services to persons with disorders of the cardiopulmonary system. Special emphasis is placed on pulmonary health promotion and disease prevention.
Will provide skilled physical therapy to Unity clients per N.Y.S. Department of Health and Federal regulations. STATUS: Full Time LOCATION: Unity Hospital DEPARTMENT: Physical Therapy & Rehab SCHEDULE: Days 8-hr shifts 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. One weekend requirement every 6 weeks. Assess patient impairment and current condition to evaluate rehabilitation potential; report on patient progress, communicate effectively with physician and other team members; counsel patient and family according to degree of disability or impairment Treatment & Planning. Develop physical therapy treatment project for each patient, including training in functional mobility, use of assistive devices, therapeutic exercise, balance and coordination retraining, massage, heat and cryotherapy; apply diagnostic and progressive functionality tests Leadership. Train, mentor and coach team members to ensure standards of the department are met; address scheduling needs to ensure proper coverage is provided EDUCATION: LICENSES / CERTIFICATIONS: PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: M - Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects; Requires frequent walking, standing or squatting. PAY RANGE: $71,000.00 - $101,920.00 CITY: Rochester POSTAL CODE: 14626 The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for a successful full time applicant. It may be modified in the future and eligible for additional pay components.
