The Vascular Access Specialist Nurse is responsible for assessing, planning, and implementing nursing care for patients requiring vascular access. They serve as a clinical resource for troubleshooting devices and collaborate with the healthcare team to maintain high standards of patient care.
Candidates must be a graduate of an accredited nursing program with a Bachelor's degree in Nursing and hold a valid Indiana Registered Nurse license. A minimum of 5 years of acute care hospital experience is required.
Responsible for assessing, formulating plan of care, implementing and evaluating nursing care for patient population requiring vascular access placed by Nursing Specialty Services. Is a leader and collaborates with the healthcare tam to promote a world class environment. Serves as a resource person for maintaining and troubleshooting vascular access devices.
