The provider delivers preventive and acute medical care, substance use counseling, and mental health services to unhoused individuals at the Resource Center. They also conduct medical assessments, develop treatment plans, and coordinate care with a multidisciplinary team.
Candidates must be a California-licensed MD, DO, NP, or PA with at least 3 years of post-graduate clinical experience. Fluency in Spanish is a mandatory requirement for this position.
Join us in providing Life-Changing Care at our Resource Center for the Unhoused. Full-time preferred but will accept candidates that can work at least 24 hours per week
The Mission Neighborhood Health Center (MNHC) is a non-profit, multi-site community health organization offering comprehensive health services in the Mission and Excelsior Districts of San Francisco. The center offers primary health care services, adult medicine, pediatrics, family planning, OB/GYN, HIV and homeless services. We advocate for health equity and deliver innovative, high-quality services responsive to the neighborhoods and diverse communities we serve.
We are seeking an experienced, bilingual Lead Primary Care Provider—Physician (MD or DO), Nurse Practitioner, or Physician Assistant—to join our team at Mission Neighborhood Resource Center, which serves the unhoused community in the Mission District. The medical clinic consists of 4 exam rooms with 1-2 medical providers working at a time, a dedicated RN, MA's trained in phlebotomy, and part-time support of substance abuse counselor and behavioral health. The clinic is collocated with additional services at the MNRC Drop-in center, which include case management, support groups, shower facilities, lockers, laundry, food support, and referrals for lodging and housing.
Under the supervision of the Chief Medical Officer, the primary care provider at the Homeless Resource Center delivers preventive and acute care, substance use and mental health counseling, integrated with case management and support services in the Drop-In Center.
As a condition of employment, all candidates are required to meet specific immunization standards. Documentation of current immunizations, including Varicella, TDAP, COVID-19, MMR, and Hepatitis B, as well as TB test results valid within the last two (2) years must be submitted before the start date. Failure to provide this documentation may result in a delayed start or withdrawal of the job offer.
