The Nurse Practitioner examines and treats patients independently and in collaboration with other healthcare professionals. They are responsible for disease prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and managing patient recovery.
Candidates must be graduates of an approved professional school of nursing and have completed a State Board of Nursing approved Nurse Practitioner course. A valid license or temporary permit to practice as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse is required.
