The Ophthalmic Assistant performs diagnostic eye testing, documents patient medical records, and assists physicians with clinical procedures and medication administration. They are also responsible for maintaining surgical instruments and providing clear post-operative instructions to patients.
Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED, with preference given to those with medical scribe experience and JCAHPO certification. Strong communication skills, computer literacy, and the ability to work in a fast-paced team environment are required.
