The Lab Assistant performs phlebotomy procedures on inpatients and outpatients to collect blood samples for laboratory testing. They also provide support to the laboratory staff with various operational functions.
Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent and have completed an accredited phlebotomy training program. Previous experience in phlebotomy is preferred.

The Lab Assistant performs phlebotomy procedures on both inpatients and outpatients in a timely manner. Collects blood samples from patients required for the performance of laboratory tests as requested by the physician with the least possible discomfort to the patient. The lab assistant is also responsible for supporting the lab staff with various functions.
Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent required Successful completion of an accredited phlebotomy training program, or previous training and experience to perform phlebotomy One-year prior experience preferred
Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations: Phlebotomy certification preferred
