Optometry Contract Assignment with Shifts Available Nationwide

This full-time, on-site position offers a unique opportunity to engage in hands-on patient care within a supportive medical practice environment.

As a Locum MD in Ophthalmology, you will play a critical role in providing comprehensive eye care, diagnosing and treating various ocular conditions, and performing surgical procedures when necessary.

Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive eye examinations and assessments Diagnose and treat a variety of ocular diseases and conditions Perform surgical procedures, including cataract surgery and laser treatments Prescribe corrective lenses and medications as needed Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide holistic care Educate patients on eye health and preventive care Maintain accurate patient records and documentation Stay updated with the latest advancements in ophthalmology

Requirements

MD degree from an accredited medical school Board certification or eligibility in Ophthalmology Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment Commitment to providing high-quality patient care Familiarity with electronic medical records systems is a plus Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and procedures Valid medical license to practice in California

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8a-5p

Will travel to patients in a van provided by the facility, support staff included

Patient Population: Veterans and active duty military

Shifts available in all 50 states

Must be board-certified
