Lifestyle support workers provide one-on-one assistance to recipients in their homes and communities to help them live independently and achieve their goals. Responsibilities include household organization, meal preparation, community access support, and providing transport to various activities.
Candidates must possess a current P1 'C' class Queensland driver's licence, a roadworthy vehicle, and relevant certifications including First Aid, CPR, and a Blue Card. Applicants should demonstrate effective communication, computer literacy, and the ability to work with diverse communities.
Lifestyle support workers (LSW's) play a vital role in supporting our recipients to live their best life - empowering individuals to build confidence, work towards their goals and improve their mental wellbeing.
You work one-on-one in the homes and communities of our recipients to support them to live as independently as possible.
You may work with recipients in their homes to carry out activities like clean and organise, prepare healthy meals or maintain a yard and generally make positive choices. A key part of the role is supporting recipients to improve their confidence accessing the community and engaging in activities that will help them achieve their goals. You will also provide transport to and from activities. It could be anything from shopping, going to the gym, attending social events and appointments … to name a few activities!
