The Direct Support Professional will assist individuals with disabilities in developing daily living skills, managing behaviors, and maintaining a clean, safe environment. Responsibilities also include medication administration, accurate documentation, and active engagement in community outings.
Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent and a valid driver's license with reliable transportation. The role requires the ability to lift 35 lbs and the successful completion of background checks and drug screenings.
Develop Daily Living Skills: Help individuals gain independence in self-care and daily activities. Behavior Management: Reduce unwanted behaviors and teach alternatives using approved methods by following support plans and using communication strategies. Health Support: Maintain hygiene and grooming, provide first aid, and administer medications if certified.
Demonstrated concern for others and alignment with the mission of Hills & Dales. Ability to assertively communicate and advocate for clients. Reliable attendance and punctuality. Ability to lift 35 lbs. High School diploma or equivalent. Valid driver's license, reliable personal vehicle, and valid insurance. Successful completion of a criminal background check, drug screen, and driving record check.
Choice of 4 health insurance plans. 3-day work week with 12-13 hour shifts, providing 203 days off per year. PTO and additional pay on agency holidays. Weekend premium pay (1.5x base wage).
