The Occupational Therapist will conduct patient assessments, establish treatment goals, and provide interventions to improve daily living independence. They are also responsible for documenting progress, supervising COTAs, and training nursing staff and caregivers.
Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy and possess a current state license. Experience in long-term care or rehabilitation settings is preferred.
Conduct assessments and establish treatment goals. Provide interventions such as self-care training and adaptive equipment. Document evaluations, treatments, and progress. Supervise COTAs and collaborate with care teams. Train caregivers and nursing staff. Qualifications Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy. Current state OT license. Experience in long-term care preferred. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities- KSAs Knowledge of OT interventions and rehab techniques. Communication and problem-solving skills. Strong organizational ability. Physical & Environmental Requirements Lift up to 100 lbs with assistance. Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, reaching.
