• Overview: Trilab Health is seeking a flexible and skilled Phlebotomist to work on in a healthcare facility Champaign, IL. This role involves performing blood draws and other lab-related procedures, ensuring accurate specimen collection and handling. The ideal candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills, the ability to work independently, and a strong commitment to providing high-quality patient care. Familiarity with safety protocols and handling hazardous materials is essential.

Duties and Responsibilities

Perform blood draws and other laboratory procedures in a professional and courteous manner. Verify patient identities and ensure accurate record-keeping for all procedures. Educate patients on the collection process, including specimen handling and storage. Accurately label and prepare specimens for transport, ensuring their integrity. Communicate effectively with lab staff, management, and healthcare professionals. Adhere to safety protocols and comply with OSHA, HIPAA regulations, and laboratory policies. Participate in ongoing training to maintain and update phlebotomy and lab procedure skills.

Qualifications

Required: High school diploma or equivalent.

Preferred

• Completion of a phlebotomy program or certification as a phlebotomist. At least one year of experience in phlebotomy within a clinical setting. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Knowledgeable in safety protocols for handling hazardous materials. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Excellent organizational and time-management abilities. Ability to work independently and manage a flexible schedule.
