The Medical Assistant provides direct patient care interventions, including collecting vital signs, performing phlebotomy, and coordinating tests under clinician direction. They also support the interdisciplinary team by maintaining efficient workflows and promoting a safe, patient-centered environment.
Candidates must have completed the first semester of an accredited nursing program or a medical assistant/patient care technician program. Active certification as a CCMA, CMA, RMA, CNA, or EMT is required, along with RQI First Responder certification within 90 days.
