The physician provides quality direct patient care, including evaluating, treating, and managing patient health. They also assist in coordinating department services and provide training to medical staff.
Candidates must have a Doctorate from an accredited medical school and complete a medical residency and internship program. Additionally, they need various certifications including MD or DO, BLS, ACLS, and board eligibility or certification.
Key Responsibility Provide comprehensive primary care for patients of all ages in an outpatient clinic setting. Perform routine health maintenance visits, physical exams, and preventive screenings. Diagnose and manage acute illnesses (e.g., infections, minor injuries) and chronic conditions (e.g., diabetes, hypertension, asthma). Order, interpret, and follow up on labs, imaging, and diagnostic tests. Develop individualized treatment plans using evidence‑based guidelines. Prescribe and manage medications, including chronic disease therapies.
