The Surgical Technologist assists with patient care in the operating room by performing scrub assistant duties and anticipating surgeon needs. They collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure patient safety and proper handling of instruments and supplies.
Candidates must have successfully completed an accredited Surgical Technologist course and hold or be eligible for certification. Knowledge of regulatory agencies, infection control, and BLS/AED training is required.
Knowledge of the procedures performed and anticipates the surgeon's needs, including providing instruments, sutures and supplies Contribute to the patient's safety by collaborating with the interdisciplinary team
Experience scrubbing into a variety of specialties preferred Knowledge of regulatory agencies and practice (eg. Nurse Practice Act, Infection Control, OSHA, DOH) Successful completion from an accredited school or college course for Surgical Technologist required Certification from the Surgical Technology Exam or eligibility to sit for the exam BLS/AED training
Usd $40.59 - Usd $50.74 /Hr.
