The optometrist will conduct comprehensive eye exams, diagnose sight problems, and prescribe corrective lenses or treatments. They are also responsible for building patient relationships, providing patient education, and coordinating care with support staff.
Candidates must hold a Doctorate of Optometry from a credentialed institution. Additionally, they must have successfully passed all required optometric state boards.
