The Cardiovascular Technologist assists physicians with diagnostic and invasive procedures such as EKGs, stress tests, and cardiac catheterizations. They are responsible for monitoring patient vital signs, maintaining equipment, and ensuring accurate patient records.
Candidates must hold a High School Diploma and be a graduate of an accredited Radiological, Cardiovascular, or Respiratory care program. BLS, AED, and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association are required.
We are seeking a skilled Cardiovascular Technologist to assist physicians in diagnosing and treating heart and blood vessel conditions. You will perform non-invasive and/or invasive diagnostic procedures, including EKGs, stress tests, and catheterization support.
Key Responsibilities Perform diagnostic tests such as ECG/EKG, Holter monitoring, and stress testing Assist physicians during cardiac catheterization and angioplasty procedures Monitor patient vital signs before, during, and after procedures Operate and maintain cardiovascular equipment Prepare patients and explain procedures to ensure comfort and safety Maintain accurate patient records and test results
High School Diploma or equivalent required Graduate of an accredited Radiological, Cardiovascular and/or Respiratory care program Experience with scrubbing into and assisting physicians with vascular procedures RVT or equivalent preferred, registry eligible acceptable. BLS/AED/ACLS training required and accepted from the American Heart Association. No online programs from any organization will be accepted. Skills, Knowledge or Abilities Independent individual with excellent written and verbal communication skills required in order to communicate clearly and effectively with patients, families, physicians, outside agencies and other hospital staff. Medical terminology preferred. Strong computer skills a must. Knowledge of EPIC Electronic Medical Record, radiology scheduling and insurance authorization.
