The Occupational Therapist evaluates patients to develop and implement functional treatment plans for medically complex populations, including CVA, TBI, and SCI. They are responsible for directing discipline-specific therapy services and educating patients, families, and co-workers.
Candidates must hold current state licensure or eligibility for licensure as an Occupational Therapist. BLS certification is required either at the time of hire or within the first 90 days of employment.

BSWIR is seeking a full time Occupational therapist for our medically complex team. The ideal candidate will experience in an Inpatient rehabilitation setting with understanding of treating medically complex, CVA, TBI and SCI population. Evaluates all assigned patients and develops, implements and modifies treatment plan in accordance with the patient’s need and physician direction. Responsible for delegation and direction of all discipline-specific therapy services for those assigned patients. Ensures the design of functional treatment programs allowing for an effective return to community activities. Serves as an educator of patients, families, students, co-workers and self. Performs other professional duties associated with the care of the patient, development of discipline-specific therapy services and design of program delivery.
