Provides comprehensive respiratory care services for patients with pulmonary and cardiopulmonary disorders, including emergency and intensive care. Responsible for monitoring equipment and participating in quality assurance and improvement activities.
Requires RRT certification through the NBRC or CRT with eligibility for the registry exam within one year. Must hold BCLS certification and a license from the Michigan Board of Respiratory Care.
Provides respiratory care services to patients who require emergency care, intensive care, therapeutic treatment, invasive and non-invasive monitoring, diagnostic testing and patient education for pulmonary and cardiopulmonary disorders. Monitors and maintains equipment and participates in quality assurance and improvement activities.
Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) through the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) or Registry Eligible, Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) with successful completion of the Registry examination process within one year BCLS certification Licensed through the Michigan Board of Respiratory Care
6 months to 1 year of job-related experience.
