HOW YOU'LL MAKE AN IMPACT Job Summary: In this role you will assist in providing nursing care to the practice patients; help maintain the functions of a medical group practice; provide direct patient care by doing lab work and venipuncture; readying patients for exams; assisting providers with exams and procedures, and administering injections and treatments as orders. Coordinates patient calls/walk-ins in emergent situations. Assists in other functions of the medical group practice as needed. Tasks performed are in compliance with department and policies and procedures, and within educational preparation. Ideal candidate is recent pre-med college grad in gap year who has obtained a Medical Assistant certificate willing to commit to a FULL TIME position. Candidate will train with neurologist to conduct nerve conduction studies 12 hours/week under his guidance and perform MA clinical duties remainder of 40hr week.

• Minimum: High School diploma or GED.
• Required
• Experience:
• Minimum: No experience required if medical assistant program has been completed and certification received.

Preferred

• Two or more years of patient care, giving injections, working labs, etc. in an outpatient setting.

• Minimum: Medical Assistant Certification.

Preferred

• Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA).
