Provide evidence-based physical therapy evaluations and personalized treatment plans to improve patient mobility and manage pain. Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to coordinate care and supervise support staff and students.
Requires a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree or equivalent from a CAPTE-accredited program and an active Florida Physical Therapist license. Must possess a valid driver's license, auto insurance, and BLS/CPR certification.
The Physical Therapist esponsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following: Provide safe, evidence-based physical therapy evaluations, treatment plans, and interventions as ordered by the physician. Develop individualized, measurable goals and a clear Plan of Care based on patient assessments and functional needs. Deliver therapy treatments and adjust plans as patient condition or progress changes. Participate in discharge planning, including education, equipment needs, and follow-up recommendations. Educate patients and families on treatment expectations, safety, and self-care. Maintain accurate, timely documentation and complete visit notes within required timeframes. Collaborate effectively with the interdisciplinary care team to coordinate patient goals and care plans. Supervise and support Physical Therapy Assistants, support staff, and students as appropriate. Prioritize patient caseload, assist with scheduling, and meet departmental productivity standards. Ensure safety and compliance by following infection control practices, patient identification procedures, and organizational policies. Demonstrate integrity, compassion, respect, and cultural competence in all patient interactions. Performs additional duties as assigned. Work Schedule: Monday through Friday 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM shifts Weekend Call Rotation QualificationsEducation & Experience: Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree (or equivalent) from a Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE)-accredited educational program. Master’s degree (or equivalent) in physical therapy from a CAPTE-accredited educational program conferred prior to 2019 or a bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in physical therapy from a CAPTE accredited educational program conferred prior to 2001 may be accepted. Active (BLS) or (CPR) certification Active Florida Physical Therapist license Skills & Abilities: Maintains professional standards. Excellent communication and relationship-building skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent people skills and ability to work effectively with volunteers, staff, and the public. Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to function as part of a team and independently. Able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines while working under pressure. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to prioritize tasks. Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software. Passion for healthcare and making a positive impact on communities.
