Responsibilities
Under the supervision of the Radiology Team Leader and the interpreting physician, the Radiographer performs routine radiographic procedures in accordance with established quality and radiation safety standards.
This role delivers patient-centered care while respecting the dignity and confidentiality of each individual.
Radiographers are expected to exercise independent judgment within the scope of supervision when performing technical procedures.
Work schedules will generally follow set days and hours; however, adjustments may be made by the Radiology Team Leader to ensure 24-hour coverage and the consistent delivery of high-quality radiology services.
Key Responsibilities: Perform radiology procedures, ensuring accuracy, safety, and adherence to radiation protection standards.
Deliver timely and precise patient testing results to support quality care.
Collaborate with physicians, staff, patients, and families, responding professionally to inquiries and requests.
Maintain strict confidentiality of patient information.
Adhere to performance improvement initiatives and contribute to team efforts that enhance patient outcomes.

Apply age-specific competencies to provide appropriate care for diverse patient populations.
Ensure high-quality imaging in compliance with policies, regulatory standards, infection control, and safety guidelines.
Serve as a technical resource for staff, assisting with troubleshooting and problem resolution.
Provide training on radiology equipment, including proper C-arm operation and safety protocols.
Support compliance by maintaining accurate policy, procedure, and improvement manuals.
Perform and document quality control checks and equipment maintenance to ensure reliable results.
Verify accuracy of image labeling and manipulation before submission to the PACS system; forward images to the appropriate destinations.

Qualifications
Education
Two year AMA approved program in Radiologic Technology, AS or BS degree.
Licensure/Certification: Current ARRT and Current BLS certification.
Experience
Six (6) months experience is preferred.
Working
Knowledge: Performs at a proficient level all radiology procedures and other tasks needed within the radiology department. Can operate all of the radiology equipment and the PACS System in a safe and appropriate manner. Capable of performing the necessary functions on OHH’s computer system.

Skills: Can manipulate the patient’s position and the radiology equipment to perform high quality images. Capable of sending high quality images from the radiology equipment to the PACS System and completing the exams in the Cerner Computer System.
