Overview
Beebe Healthcare is growing, and our Specialty Surgical Hospital is seeking a dedicated Clinical Nurse II to support high-quality surgical and orthopedic care across both our Rehoboth Surgical Unit and the Lewes Orthopedic Unit.
This is a part-time, night shift position, ideal for nurses who bring compassion, teamwork, and strong clinical judgment to every shift and thrive in a collaborative care environment.
In this flexible, hands-on role, you’ll care for post-surgical and orthopedic patients, complete thorough assessments, implement timely interventions, and collaborate closely with our interdisciplinary team during overnight hours.
You’ll play a key role in supporting safe recovery, patient education, and exceptional outcomes.
Nurses in this position will be trained and competent to rotate between both units, ensuring seamless, high-quality patient care systemwide.
Responsibilities
Primary Responsibilities Deliver patient-centered nursing care to post-surgical and orthopedic patients, ensuring comfort, safety, and optimal recovery outcomes.
Perform comprehensive assessments, monitor patient status, and promptly communicate changes to the appropriate members of the healthcare team.
Clinical Judgment & Time Management Prioritize patient care responsibilities effectively using strong critical thinking, clinical judgment, and time management skills.
Adapt quickly to changing patient needs in a fast-paced clinical environment.
Documentation & Safety Accurately document patient care, assessments, and interventions in the electronic medical record.
