The Respiratory Therapist provides respiratory care treatment, oxygen services, diagnostic testing, and ventilation support to patients of all ages. They perform therapeutic procedures, document clinical information, and educate patients and co-workers on treatment plans.
Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent and a current State of Louisiana License as a Respiratory Therapist. Certification by the National Board of Respiratory Care as a Registered Respiratory Therapist and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification are also required.
