Plan and conduct occupational therapy programs to help injured or disabled patients recover skills for daily living and work. This includes adapting treatment models, recommending adaptive equipment, and documenting patient progress.
Requires a degree from an accredited therapy program, a current state Occupational Therapist license, and CPR certification. Candidates should have 2-3 years of related experience and the physical stamina to lift up to 50lbs.
Education: Graduate of an accredited therapy program Experience: 2-3 years of related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience Licenses/Certifications: Current Occupational Therapist state license; CPR certification Excellent verbal & written communication Time management Sound judgment & decision making Active listening Service orientation Social perceptiveness Aquatics interest/experience is a plus! Physical & Environmental Considerations Normal lighting levels, temperature ranges, air quality, ventilation and noise levels. Physical stamina to lift, transfer and assist patients through physical activities. Requires frequent lifting and carrying items weighing up to 50lbs. unassisted, including assisting patients when needed. Must be able to communicate clearly to patients in person and over the phone. Visual acuity adequate to perform job duties, including visual examination of patient and reading information from printed sources and computer screens. Contact with blood, body fluids and other infectious drainage. Minimal hazards if required Universal Precautions are followed
