Responsibilities

Qualifications

Job Requirements

• Associate degree/educational equivalent provided by college transcript or high school diploma/GED with two years of psychiatric/equivalent experience. Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology or related field preferred. Documented experience working with children (ages 5-12), adolescents (ages 13-18), and/or adults (ages 18 plus) preferred, with a knowledge of psychiatric patient care techniques and understanding of mental illness, preferred.
• Licenses or
• Certifications: Current Arkansas Driver’s License required if approved to transport patients. Current CPR and Handle With Care certifications or must obtain within two (2) weeks of date of hire.
• Skills and
• Abilities: Effective oral and written communication skills and knowledge of telephone etiquette is required. Ability to interact in a positive manner and to communicate well with patients, families, co-workers, supervisor, and other hospital employees. Must be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions. Ability to adapt to changes in how information is processed.
