Administer anesthesia to patients undergoing surgical procedures Monitor patient vital signs and adjust anesthesia as necessary Conduct pre-operative assessments and discuss anesthesia options with patients Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure optimal patient care Provide post-operative care and manage any anesthesia-related complications Maintain accurate medical records and documentation Participate in quality improvement initiatives and safety protocols Stay current with advancements in anesthesiology practices and technologies
Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree Current board certification in Anesthesiology Valid medical license to practice in the state of Iowa Experience in a clinical anesthesiology setting Strong knowledge of anesthesia techniques and pharmacology Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment Strong attention to detail and patient-centered approach
Schedule: Friday (5p-7a) or weekends (7a-7a)
Annual Volume: 3,600 surgical cases
Orthopedics, L&D, spine, GI, gynecology, urology, cath lab, interventional radiology, bariatric bypass, and minimal vascular cases
Support Staff: Anesthesiologists, CRNA, and anesthesia tech
EMR: Epic
Must be board-certified
