The Locum Urologist is responsible for diagnosing and treating a wide range of urological conditions through comprehensive evaluations and individualized treatment plans. Key duties include performing surgical procedures, collaborating with healthcare teams, and maintaining detailed patient records.
Candidates must hold an MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school and possess a valid medical license for the state of New Mexico. Board certification is required, and previous experience in urology is preferred.

As a Locum Urologist, you will play a crucial role in diagnosing and treating a wide range of urological conditions. Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients with urological conditions Develop and implement individualized treatment plans Perform surgical procedures as necessary Collaborate with nursing staff and other healthcare professionals Educate patients and their families about urological health Maintain accurate and detailed patient records Stay updated on the latest advancements in urology Participate in team meetings to discuss patient care strategies
MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school Valid medical license to practice in the state of New Mexico Previous experience in Urology preferred Strong diagnostic and clinical skills Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment Commitment to maintaining high standards of patient care Willingness to adapt to the dynamic needs of the practice
Schedule: 8-hour shifts, 2+ weeks per month
Clinic and call coverage
Patient Volume: 15 per shift
Kidney stones, prostate biopsies, lithotripsy, radical prostatectomy, bladder lesions, radical nephrectomy, bladder lifts, circumcisions, cytoscopes with dilation, etc.
Some robotics required
Support Staff: 1 RN, 1 MA
EMR: Epic
Must be board-certified
