The candidate will support preclinical studies using rodent models by performing dosing, surgical nursing, and behavioral assessments. They will also be responsible for tissue collection, data handling, and coordinating study execution.
A Bachelor's degree in biological sciences or neuroscience is required, along with 1-3 years of laboratory experience with rodents. Candidates must be proficient in animal handling and capable of complying with SOPs and IACUC regulations.
Test article dosing using various routes of administration (IP, SC, PO) Behavioral testing; learning and memory, anxiety, and/or motor assessments Tissue collection (anatomical dissection of brain region, along with peripheral organs and muscles) Data handling (graphing and analyzing data) Study coordination (preparing run sheets and mix sheets, creating shipping manifests)
Bachelor's degree in biological sciences, neuroscience, or related field 1-3 years of laboratory and behavioral experience with rodents Animal handling skills and knowledge of rodent behavioral models Attention to detail, strong organizational, multi-tasking, and troubleshooting skills Able to work well in a group atmosphere, as well as independently High level of commitment, excllent motivation to perform and to learn Able to comprehend and comply with SOPs and IACUC regulations, and to follow safety and quality assurance protocols, as well as to question and/or report any deviations to study protocols Ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment and to pick up new skills quickly Computer skills in Microsoft Office
