Provides clinical and administrative support in a urology clinic, including preparing patients for exams and assisting with minor procedures. Manages patient documentation, triage, and clinic flow while collaborating with a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
Requires graduation from a CAAHEP or ABHES accredited medical assisting program and BLS certification. Candidates should possess strong clinical skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office, and a commitment to patient confidentiality.
Medical office experience and medical terminology training preferred. Working knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, laboratory values, and medical equipment. Familiarity with infection control practices, aseptic technique, patient rights, regulatory standards, and common safety precautions. Experience working in a specialty clinic setting preferred. Scope of Practice All Logan Health Medical Assistants/UAPs must practice within the Logan Health-defined MA/UAP Scope of Practice and may not perform duties outside of validated competencies.
