Manage a broad spectrum of GI conditions through consults and daily follow-ups in both hospital and outpatient settings. Coordinate procedural care for EGD, colonoscopies, and advanced endoscopy, including pre-procedure risk assessment and post-procedure care.
Requires an MSN, completion of an approved nurse practitioner program, and a current North Carolina license. Preference is given to candidates with at least three years of clinic nursing experience and two years of nurse practitioner experience, especially in acute care.
We are seeking a highly motivated Nurse Practitioner to join our Gastroenterology consult service. This is a fast-paced, high-acuity role focused on managing a broad spectrum of GI conditions while working closely with a collaborative team of gastroenterologists.
This position offers a strong balance of clinical autonomy, procedural coordination, and productivity-based performance, making it ideal for candidates who thrive in both a hospital and outpatient clinic environment.
Supervision received: Reports to Gastroenterology Physicians

EDUCATION: MSN required. Successful completion of an approved nurse practitioner program and current NC License.
Minimum of three years of professional nursing experience in a clinic setting plus two years of nurse practitioner experience preferred. Inpatient or acute care experience strongly preferred.
Maintains valid NP and RN license for state of North Carolina.
Requires standing and walking for extensive periods of time. Occasionally lifts and carries items weighing up to 50 pounds. Requires working under stress in emergencies and irregular hours.
