• Centra's Psychiatry and Behavioral Health provide vital and compassionate mental health services to our community through a variety of programs.
• We offer inpatient programs, which include an Acute Psychiatric Program for Children & Adolescents, an Adult Psychiatric Program, and a Geriatric Psychiatric Program.
• We also provide ambulatory services through Piedmont Psychiatric Center, Centra Pathways Treatment Center for those with substance-use disorders-related problems and Consult Liaison Services with two hospitals.
• In addition, we have our new Psychiatric Emergency Center (emPATH) which opened in October 2023 and has been incredibly successful.
• We have the first one in VA!
• Centra Health Behavioral Health Hospital is opening in Spring 2026.
• This 75,000 sq ft, 72-bed facility will feature open community spaces, therapeutic courtyards, and advanced clinical areas serving adult, geriatric, and child/adolescent populations.
