The role involves evaluating and treating patients with acute and chronic illnesses while creating comprehensive treatment plans. The APP will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and manage patient documentation and billing compliance.
Candidates must be a graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program with the appropriate state licensure. Required certifications include ACLS/BLS, with DEA, PALS, or NRP required depending on the specific patient profile.

Evaluate patients, and treat acute and chronic illnesses Orders, performs and interprets diagnostic tests Involves patients and their families in care and treatment decisions Creates treatment plans and completes orders in patient's charts Collaborates on improvements in care delivery and service with staff, other physicians and management Initiates appropriate specialty referrals Provides clinical information to the interdisciplinary team in a clear and timely manner Ensures that proper patient documentation is timely, accurate and complete Works with practice management to ensure proper compliance with billing, coding and CPT code assignment Achieves and maintains optimal patient access Provides interdepartmental medical consultation as requested Participates in the development of medical protocols, standard procedures, and management of patients
