About the Role

• The Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) plays a critical role in supporting licensed physical therapists in delivering high-quality rehabilitative care to patients recovering from injury, surgery, or managing chronic conditions.
• This position involves implementing treatment plans designed by physical therapists, assisting patients in improving mobility, reducing pain, and restoring function.
• This position will work primarily with Women's Health, pelvic floor and urinary incontinence patients.
• The PTA works closely with patients in outpatient settings, ensuring adherence to universal precautions and safety protocols to maintain a safe therapeutic environment.
• Compassion and effective communication are essential as the PTA motivates and educates patients throughout their rehabilitation journey.
• Ultimately, the PTA contributes significantly to enhancing patients' quality of life by facilitating their physical recovery and independence.

Minimum Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• Current licensure In the State of Ohio as a Physical Therapy Assistant.
• America Heart Association CPR BLS.
• Knowledge of universal precautions and infection control procedures.
• Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting and carrying heavy weights safely.
• Strong interpersonal skills with a compassionate approach to patient care.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in an outpatient rehabilitation setting, specifically with Women's Health, Pelvic Floor
• Familiarity with pelvic exams and related therapeutic interventions.
• Herman Wallace Pelvic Floor certifications or comparably certificate..
• Additional certifications in specialized therapy techniques or modalities.
• Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary healthcare teams.

Responsibilities

• Assist physical therapists in executing individualized treatment plans focused on rehabilitation and functional improvement.
