The APP provides comprehensive primary care, including medical evaluations, treatments, and patient education under physician supervision. They are responsible for managing patient histories, ordering tests, and coordinating care with other clinical agencies.
Candidates must be a board-certified NP or PA with current North Carolina licensure and a DEA certificate. Previous experience in a medical office or FQHC and proficiency in Microsoft Office are preferred.
The Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP), under the supervision of the Physician, is responsible for assisting in the delivery of health care and patient care management. Under a physician’s supervision, the PA/NP is responsible for the delivery of a broad range of medical services, including taking medical histories, conducting physical examinations, ordering diagnostic tests, administering treatments (e.g., suturing, casting and minor surgery), monitoring patients, prescribing medications, assisting physicians, and counseling and educating patients.
Graduation from an accredited program. Current State of North Carolina PA or NP licensure/certification required. Current DEA certificate required. Board Certification if applicable.
