Responsible for providing spiritual support and assessments to hospice patients, families, and staff according to their individual belief systems. Develops spiritual care plans and collaborates with an interdisciplinary team to manage end-of-life care.
Requires a degree from an accredited seminary or theology school and completion of clinical pastoral education. Must possess a valid Texas Driver's License and the ability to accommodate diverse multi-faith backgrounds.
Responsible for the spiritual component of the Hospice Care Program. Provides support to patients, families and staff in keeping with their individual belief systems.
Maximum travel required to patient’s homes, IPU, hospitals, nursing homes and to attend office meetings.
Required to adapt to patient’s/family’s needs. Flexible hours required.
Possible late evening hours, accidents, unsafe neighborhoods. May be subjected to unpleasant living conditions of some patients. Possible infections from patients.
