The Youth Counselor must engage youth to develop positive, supportive relationships using a strength-based approach while working with a team to provide direct supervision and advocacy. Responsibilities also include facilitating life skills instruction, assisting youth with treatment plan goals across various areas, and performing medication administration after training.
Candidates must be at least 21 years old with a valid driver's license and insured vehicle, and must commit to required trainings like FA/CPR/AED, MAP, and CPI Crisis Intervention. Minimum education requires either a Bachelor's degree (preferred), an Associate degree with coursework plus one year of human service experience, or a High School diploma/GED/HiSET plus two years of human service experience.
Key Program is seeking Youth Counselors (Residential Caseworkers) in Providence, RI for their residential program, which serves up to six girls (ages 16 to 20) referred by the Department of Children, Youth & Families (DCYF).
