The Oncology Clinical Nurse provides professional nursing care through assessment, diagnosis, and evaluation within an ambulatory practice setting. The role ensures a safe environment and maintains professional competency tailored to the diverse needs of oncology patients.
Candidates must be a Registered Nurse licensed in North Carolina or a compact state with BLS certification and a degree from an accredited nursing school. A BSN or MSN and previous experience in an oncology clinic or infusion setting are preferred.

The Oncology Clinical Nurse provides professional nursing care through skillful assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, implementation, and evaluation in the Ambulatory Practice setting in accordance with the policies and procedures under the supervision of the supervisor and manager of the ambulatory care practice. The Oncology Clinical Nurse maintains a safe environment and performs all job-related responsibilities in a safe manner. The Oncology Nurse maintains clinical and professional competency as appropriate to the age, culture, developmental stages, and special needs of the patients served.
A registered nurse’s practice is guided by the ANA Code of Ethics for Nurses with Interpretive Statements.
Preferred: BSN, MSN
Previous experience in an Oncology clinic is preferred.
