Responsible for the procurement and analytical evaluation of blood and other body fluids with high accuracy and precision. Duties include operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting laboratory instrumentation while recording quality control data.
Requires an associate degree in clinical laboratory science or a professional certificate in Medical Laboratory Technology. Candidates must be certified by ASCP or AMT, or become certified within one year of hire.

Responsible for procurement of blood and analytical evaluation of blood and other body fluids. All tests must be performed with accuracy and precision. Medical Laboratory Technicians must have working knowledge of laboratory instrumentation including operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting. They must perform and record data from quality control procedures. The scope of patient care ranges from neonatal to geriatric patients.
