Hemophilia and Pediatric Physical Therapist

These roles focus on helping patients recover from injuries, illnesses, or surgeries and improve their physical, emotional, and functional well-being. Involves assessing, planning, and providing therapeutic interventions to enhance patients' abilities to perform daily activities and achieve their rehabilitation goals.

• These roles are responsible for improving patient mobility, strength, and function through exercise, manual therapy, and education.
• Physical therapists work with patients recovering from injuries or surgeries, those with chronic conditions, or those seeking to enhance physical performance and reduce pain.
• Individual contributors with responsibility in a clinical discipline or specialty.
• Typically involves diagnosing, treating, and caring for patients, and often include face-to-face interactions with patients.
• May also spend some time designing and implementing clinical programs, policies, and services using specialized knowledge and skills.
• Specialty license or certification required which is acquired through advanced education, training and/or experience.
• This career stream will be most commonly applied to patient care and/or scientific/laboratory technologist jobs. ​ Requires basic knowledge of job procedures and tools obtained through work experience and require vocational or technical education.​ Works under moderate supervision.
• Problems are typically of a routine nature but may at times require interpretation or deviation from standard procedures. ​ Communicates information that requires some explanation or interpretation​.
• MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Education: Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy Experience: 6 months relevant experience Licensure: Licensed to practice in Physical Therapy in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
• American Heart Association (AHA) Health Care Provider BLS certification required.
• PHYSICAL DEMANDS Job requires standing for prolonged periods and frequently bending/stooping/traveling.
• Proficient communicative, auditory and visual skills; Attention to detail and ability to write legibly; Ability to lift/push/pull 20 – 50lbs.
• May be exposed to blood/body fluids and infectious disease.
• The starting base rate for this role is $37.47 hourly.
• Individual compensation will be determined by the selected candidate's qualifications, previous work experience, and/or education.
