Medical Assistant Ohio Hand Chardon/Concord/Beachwood

• A Brief Overview This position is responsible for fully performing basic Medical Assistant duties.
• Will support Orthopedic Providers in Chardon, Concord and Beachwood (Thursdays) What You Will Do Facilitates unit operations by managing patient flow.
• Responsible for all front desk duties specific to department, including scheduling patients, collecting and verifying patient payor information and other patient documentation.
• Additional Responsibilities Performs other duties as assigned.
• Complies with all policies and standards.
• For specific duties and responsibilities, refer to documentation provided by the department during orientation.
• Must abide by all requirements to safely and securely maintain Protected Health Information (PHI) for our patients.
• Annual training, the UH Code of Conduct and UH policies and procedures are in place to address appropriate use of PHI in the workplace.

Education Completion of a Medical Assistant Program (Required) Highschool Diploma OR GED equivalent (Required) Work Experience 1+ years of clinical experience as a Medical Assistant (Required) Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Able to communicate effectively with people from varied socioeconomic backgrounds. (Required proficiency) Able to organize changing work assignments. (Required proficiency) Medical terminology knowledge.
