The Occupational Therapist provides physician-prescribed therapy to improve or minimize physical disabilities in patients. They maintain ongoing communication with physicians and the healthcare team regarding patient status and care.
Candidates must be licensed Occupational Therapists in the State of New York and graduates of a CAOTE-approved curriculum. Two years of experience is preferred, along with the ability to work independently.
Position: Full-Time Occupational Therapist The Occupational Therapist provides physician-prescribed occupational therapy to improve or minimize residual physical disabilities of the patient. Maintains ongoing communication with the Physician, healthcare team, and other individuals as needed regarding aspects of care and patient’s status. Communicates with Americare Therapy Services as needed regarding issues related to Rehab services and indicated patient care. Position Qualifications: TWO (2) years of experience, preferred. Licensed by The State of New York as an Occupational Therapist. Graduate from an Occupational therapist curriculum approved by one of the following: The Commission on Accreditation in Occupational Therapy education (CAOTE) or successor organizations of CAOTE.
