Diagnose and treat bone, muscle, and joint disorders of the feet and ankles through routine care and surgical procedures. Provide comprehensive patient education, prescribe necessary treatments, and maintain accurate medical records.
Requires a Doctoral degree in Podiatric Medicine, a current Montana state license, and board certification through the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery. A minimum of three years of professional experience is preferred.
Description Balance Health, the largest majority podiatrist owned practice in the country and the nation’s premier comprehensive lower-extremity focused Physician Practice. We are looking for an Associate Surgical Podiatrist to serve our Missoula community, with plans for continued growth and expansion in the region. The ideal candidate will be hard-working, comfortable performing surgery as well as doing routine care, with a phenomenal bedside manner who treats our patients with exceptional care.
Examine patients’ legs and feet to diagnose diseases Treat bone, muscle, and joint disorders affecting the feet and ankles Perform surgical procedures as necessary along with wound care management as needed Diagnose diseases and deformities of the foot and ankle using medical histories, physical examinations, x-rays, and laboratory test results Prescribe medications, corrective devices, physical therapy, or surgery Advise patients about treatments and foot and ankle care techniques necessary for prevention of future problems Provide education/consultation to patients, family, and health care team Provide health promotion and preventive medicine Appropriately maintains medical records on assigned patients

Staff development and education is important to our practice. We have regular training meetings for general staff. Medical staff also meets regularly to discuss cases, concerns and refine systems.

Minimum of three (3) years professional experience preferred Current License as a Podiatrist in the State of Montana. Doctoral degree in Podiatric Medicine from an Accredited School of Podiatry Board certification through the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery Ability to observe, assess and record symptoms, reactions, and progress Knowledge of legal and ethical standards for the delivery of medical care Knowledge of the information and techniques needed to diagnose and treat human injuries, diseases, and deformities Ability to identify complex problems and review related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions Excellent listening, verbal, and written communication skills that allow effective working relationships with diverse patient, colleague, and vendor populations PC Proficient with good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook and EMR database Ability to provide legal proof of eligibility to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future. Ability to successfully pass an in-depth background investigation
