Applies acquired skills and experience as a spiritual care specialist to respond to the spiritual needs of patients and their families, faculty, staff, allied health students (as appropriate), and other health care team members.

Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement.

The Spiritual Care Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) Program is a specialized training initiative at UCSF Health designed to equip chaplains and spiritual care providers with the skills and knowledge to deliver compassionate, patient-centered spiritual care. The program is accredited and provides hands-on clinical training in hospital settings, emphasizing the integration of spiritual care into healthcare delivery. By fostering professional development and enhancing spiritual care services, the CPE Program supports UCSF�s mission to provide holistic care that addresses the emotional, spiritual, and cultural needs of patients, families, and staff.
