Salary
$45 / HOUR
Provide spiritual care and support to patients, families, faculty, staff, and healthcare team members. Respond to spiritual needs within a multi-faith clinical environment and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams.
Requires a bachelor's degree, at least two years of related experience, and completion of Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) units. Knowledge of spiritual assessment models and the ability to function in crisis/trauma situations are essential.
Applies acquired skills and experience as a spiritual care specialist to respond to the spiritual needs of patients and their families, faculty, staff, allied health students (as appropriate), and other health care team members.

The Spiritual Care Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) Program is a specialized training initiative at UCSF Health designed to equip chaplains and spiritual care providers with the skills and knowledge to deliver compassionate, patient-centered spiritual care. The program is accredited and provides hands-on clinical training in hospital settings, emphasizing the integration of spiritual care into healthcare delivery.
