The Medical Assistant provides patient-centered care including preparing patients for exams, administering medications, and performing lab procedures. They are also responsible for maintaining sterile equipment, documenting patient records, and supporting quality improvement activities.
Candidates must be fluent in English and Spanish, hold a high school diploma, and have a Medical Assistant certification or equivalent experience. National certification (CMA, CCMA, or RMA) and BLS/CPR certification are required.

The medical assistant participates in the delivery of excellent medical services in a patient centered environment with an emphasis on the prevention of disease; preparation of the patient for examination and/Or procedures; administers medications under direction of provider; performs in office lab procedures and phlebotomy on pediatric and adult patients; sterilizes instruments and ensure compliance with osha regulations. This will include actively participating in and supporting quality improvement activities and the clinical practice teams with these efforts.
