Assist with initial psychiatric examinations and provide follow-up medication management for patients in mental health and recovery programs. Participate in multidisciplinary clinical case conferences and contribute to treatment planning for psychotropic and addiction medications.
Must be currently enrolled in a Nurse Practitioner (NP) program and require the internship for degree credit. The position is unpaid and intended for students who have not yet completed their program.

Do you have what it takes?
Current enrollment in a NP (Nurse Practitioner) program is required. You will not be eligible if you have already completed your program or if you are not enrolled in the program. This internship experience must also be a requirement of your degree in order to participate, as it is unpaid and for school credit hours only.
Horizon internships are offered at various locations, with placements determined based on availability. As part of your application, you’ll have the opportunity to indicate your preferred locations. Since spaces are limited, we encourage you to apply promptly to maximize your chances of placement.
Our internship supervisors provide a flexible schedule for interns. However, please note that their availability is currently limited to Monday through Friday, with no weekend options at this time.
This internship is for Fall 2026 with a start date in August 2026.
