Provide safe, holistic, and systematic therapeutic care to patients and families within the Emergency Department. Integrate professional knowledge and skills to meet patient needs throughout the continuum of care.
Must be a graduate of an accredited nursing school with a current Louisiana State RN license. Required certifications include BLS, with ACLS, PALS, CPI, and NIH Stroke Scale certifications required within the first year.
The Registered Nurse provides safe therapeutic care in a holistic and systematic way, incorporating differences into the provision of care. Integrates knowledge, skills, and experiences to meet the needs of patients and families throughout the continuum to include patient and family education. Relies on education and training to complete responsibilities within scope of licensure as registered nurse.
