• We are seeking caring and dependable Respite Care Staff to provide temporary support and supervision to individuals with developmental disabilities while offering relief to primary caregivers.
• This position offers flexible scheduling and is ideal for individuals who are passionate about helping others and making a positive impact.
• Compensation $17–$21/hour PRN / Part-Time / Flexible Schedule Job Summary Respite Care Staff provide temporary care and supervision to individuals in home and community settings.
• Staff assist with daily living activities, encourage engagement in meaningful activities, maintain safety, and provide compassionate support while caregivers take a temporary break from their caregiving responsibilities.
• Key Duties Supervise and engage individuals in meaningful activities Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) Provide companionship and emotional support Maintain a safe and supportive environment Support community participation and social interaction Document services, activities, and observations accurately and timely Report incidents, concerns, or changes in condition promptly Follow Individual Service Plans (ISPs) and organizational policies

Requirements

High school diploma or GED required Ability to pass required background checks Strong communication and interpersonal skills Reliable, compassionate, and professional demeanor

Preferred Qualifications

Experience working in DDA, caregiving, healthcare, or human services preferred CPR/First Aid certification preferred Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred Key Traits Compassionate Dependable Patient Professional Flexible Team-oriented Strong communication skills
